Eng. Khalfan Al Burtamani is the Chief Commercial Affairs Officer at Nama Electricity
Distribution Company and a Regulatory Affairs Expert at the Authority for Public Services
Regulation. With an impressive career spanning nearly two decades, Eng. Al Burtamani’s
experience includes a previous role as General Manager of Advanced Metering
Infrastructure (AMI) at Nama, where he played a pivotal role in developing and
implementing Oman’s AMI strategy. His comprehensive expertise spans operations
management, corporate reporting, compliance, project management, business
performance, strategic planning, regulation, and technical investigations. Renowned for his
strategic acumen, he excels in setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), creating
balanced scorecards, and steering effective strategy implementation and risk
management.

His transformative contributions include shaping NAMA Holding’s Strategies and Business
Plan, advancing performance and business development initiatives, and crafting robust
Business Resumption and Continuity strategies to manage crises.

Academically, Eng. Al Burtamani holds an MBA from the University of Bedfordshire and a
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Sultan Qaboos University.
His commitment to excellence in leadership is further strengthened by his National
Leadership Certificate from the Royal Oman Academy, completion of a leadership program
at HEC Paris, and his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification, highlighting his dedication
to process and quality improvement.
