Dr. Alaa Youssef has worked extensively for over 30 years in Urban planning, Urban design, Site Planning, and Landscape. This experience has been gained throughout both his academic works and profession.

Being a staff member from 1991 till 2010 at the Faculty of Urban and Regional Planning, Cairo University, Dr. Alaa Youssef has shared in teaching Urban design, Site planning, and Landscape through lectures and studios.

His professional experience since 1991 has been gained through working on large-scale development projects with several consultants in the fields of town planning, housing, theme parks, and tourism.

Dr. Alaa joined The Ministry of Tourism and worked as an urban planning advisor at the Minister's office. During this period, he has revised/edited integrated tourism complexes and mega tourism projects.

Currently, Dr. Alaa is working in Oman as an independent urban design expert cooperating with international consultants
