He attended Twente University of Technology where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering (MSc). His thesis was awarded with a Unilever Research Prize, a yearly prestigious award for work judged to be scientifically relevant in the field of biology, chemistry and engineering and nowadays fully the Sustainable Development Goals.

publications focuses on Oman urban history, traditional planning practices, planning policies

fosters sustainability in both newly built and retrofitting buildings. With over 15 years of
experience, Yasser pioneers digital transformation within the built environment,
emphasizing efficiency through digital technology such as building automation,
software, AI, IoT, and digital twins. Yasser's commitment to people-centricity ensures
buildings are smart and responsive to human needs.
